Welder

Position Duties

• Perform manual welding and fabrication on both individual and multi-piece tube assemblies.
• Knowledgeable and capable of multiple welding processes including manual GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW.
• All welding processes may require out of position welding and the use of positioners, fixtures, and hand tools.
• Setup and operate several different bending machines prior to further fabrication.
• Experience and understanding of hand tools including grinders, inspection calipers, tape measures, and other inspection equipment.
• Familiar and capable of work from detailed drawings, as well as both written and verbal instructions.

Qualifications

• All applicants must pass a Pre-Employment Weld Screen and mechanical aptitude comprehension test to be considered for this position.
• Technical Certification preferred.
• Ability to pass all B&W internal welding tests.
• At least 1 year of fabrication experience. Lesser experience coupled with a technical certification may be considered.
• High school diploma/GED.
• Must be able to work overtime and maintain on-call status as needed.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check prior to beginning employment with B&W.
