Welder

What You’ll Do

• Proficiently perform Oxy Fuel Burning and Carbon Arcing
• May require stick welding
• May perform multiple pass welds
• Lay out and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies
• Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools
• Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications
• Observe all standard safety practices
• Maintain and complete all required records
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• A High School Diploma or GED preferred
• At least 2 years of experience or Weld School Certification Preferred
• Certifications: Grinding, GMAW, Flux Core or Arcosa will Certify Preferred
• The ability to qualify as a horizontal welder
• The ability to qualify as a vertical welder
• Preferred Certification for vertical groove welding or Arcosa will Certify
• Preferred Certification for horizontal groove welding or Arcosa will Certify
• The ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing

Working Conditions

• Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds
• This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
• Overtime and Overtime on Saturdays, as needed
