What You’ll Do

• Plan sequences of operation and set up face block, jigs, and fixtures
• Locate and mark centerlines and reference points onto floor or face block and transpose them to workpieces
• Move and align parts into position
• Remove high spots and cut bevels
• Straighten warped or bent parts
• Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, ropes, bolt straps, or bolt parts in positions for welding or riveting
• Use transit to locate reference points and erect ladders and scaffolding to fit together large assemblies

What You'll Need

• 2+ years of welding experience - combined experience and/or school
• Must be able to read measuring devices, interpret drawings, and tack weld components in appropriate locations based on drawings and travelers
• Must be able to conceptually understand how drawings translate to actual work
• Have the ability to maintain good attendance

Hourly Pay Range

$25.00 - $30.36/hour
