About the role

The ASME Welder position is located on-site in Russellville, AR. The facility manufactures food processing equipment for the poultry industry.

Essential Duties And Percent Of Time Spent

• Must have ability to interpret mechanical blueprints, weld symbols and work instructions. (20%)
• Must have the skills to perform both MIG and TIG weld processes on thin gauge stainless sheet. (25%)
• Must have skills to produce sanitary welds that meet USDA requirements. (10%)
• Must be able to effectively communicate within a team environment. Ability to take oral and written instructions and complete tasks within the defined labor standards. (10%)
• Must adhere to all internal operating procedures and safety policies. Must maintain acceptable housekeeping practices in designated work area. (10%)
• May be cross-trained in job functions based on capacity requirements. (5%)
• Recommends set-up and process changes for improvement in productivity and efficiency. (5%)
• Maintains production rates according to established standards. (10%)
• Notifies supervisor of any problems with procedures or equipment in order to maintain the highest degree of safety, inventory accuracy and productivity. (5%)

Qualifications

• Must be ASME certified or have the ability to become ASME certified.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Basic knowledge of Syteline, TeamCenter, and other programs as necessary.

Physical Demands

• Regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Regularly exposed to welding fumes, grinding dust, and weld arc.
• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places.
• Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and vibration.
• Regularly exposed to noise levels in the work environment.
