Tasks and Qualifications
- Assists with the welding procedures and processes in multiple type positions on all equipment.
- Provides assistance with processes in welding and fit-up of fabricated parts.
- Reviews blueprints and sketches to select, prep and complete the lay-out of material.
- Identifies problems as they occur and suggests appropriate steps to tackle them in situations where the problem is not difficult or complex.
- Sets up and operates grinders, saws, and/or torches in the fabrication of company product.
- Performs routine duties with the ability to substantiate repetitive motions of the body.
- Lifts up to 100 pounds occasionally and or up to 50 pounds frequently.
Requirements
- Typically, an associate degree in welding or 1-2 years of vocational technical training preferred.
- Specialized skill training/certification may be required.
- Demonstrates a basic knowledge of a technical or specialty area.
- Minimum of 1 year of successful experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.
