About the role

The Role: Entegris is currently seeking a Welder to join our Advanced Purity Solutions Division. This position will be at our San Luis Obispo, CA facility. In this role, you will be responsible for performing tasks related to welding components used in our Ultra High Purity Systems.

Responsibilities

• Works from instructions, drawings, and lists of various tube configurations with supervision.
• Uses SAP to print drawings and parts lists.
• Utilizes Ultra High Purity (UHP) process to clean tubing and weld fittings.
• Welds tubing and components from ½” to ¾“diameter using orbital weld equipment.
• Welds tubing to fittings from 1” to 4” diameter using lathe welding equipment.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Fulfills engineering specifications to produce quality and accurate products in a timely manner.
• Completes 6S responsibilities (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, safety).
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment and maintains or increases On-Time Shipments.
• Able to work safely and recognize the safety of others.
• Ensures accuracy and consistency in work performance.
• Learns proper measuring techniques, tool use, care, and quality standards.
• Works with a team as well as independently when needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years’ experience tig welding of stainless steel.
• Ability to learn to navigate through operating system to find, drawings and instructions.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs daily and be on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Focus on attention to detail to drive plant safety and product quality.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
• Ability to learn how handle material responsibly.
• Dependability and flexibility to work overtime and weekends to support business.
