POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Welder to join our team. The Welder will be responsible for joining, cutting, and repairing metal and other materials using welding equipment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks using different techniques such as MIG, TIG, Stick, and arc welding
• Weld, cut, and fabricate metal components as per project requirements and technical drawings
• Ensure all welding work is performed with precision and to specified quality standards
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries
• Maintain and use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, helmets, and masks
• Inspect workpieces for defects before and after welding and correct any issues
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or schematics to determine welding requirements
• Ensure welding work meets specified measurements, alignment, and tolerances
• Maintain and repair welding machines, tools, and other equipment used in the welding process
• Regularly inspect and clean welding equipment to ensure proper functionality
• Collaborate with other team members, engineers, or supervisors to plan and execute welding tasks
• Communicate any challenges or issues with the welding process to supervisors in a timely manner
• Ensure that welding joints meet industry standards and specifications
• Conduct inspections of completed welds using tools like micrometers, calipers, or visual inspection to check for accuracy

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Welder or in a similar role
• Proficiency in various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick)
• Strong knowledge of welding materials and metal properties
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks on completed work
• Good physical strength and stamina, capable of working in a physically demanding environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME)
• Experience with advanced welding technologies or automation
• Knowledge of CAD software for design interpretation (a plus)

Work Environment

• Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including heat, dust, and noise
• May be required to work in confined spaces or at heights
