About the role
The Weld Supervisor leads a team of welders to safely produce high-quality trailers while meeting daily production goals. This position provides hands-on leadership by coaching employees, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a safe, productive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead daily welding operations to meet production schedules.
- Train, coach, and develop welders on safety, quality, and welding techniques.
- Monitor employee performance and hold team members accountable for attendance, productivity, and quality.
- Ensure all welds meet engineering specifications and company quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions.
- Assist with welding and fabrication as needed to support production.
- Identify and resolve production, quality, and equipment issues.
- Ensure employees have the tools, materials, and resources needed to perform their work.
- Promote and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to improve efficiency and achieve production goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 5 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of welding procedures, metallurgy, and fabrication techniques.
- Experience troubleshooting welding defects and production issues.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and manufacturing best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and manufacturing reporting systems preferred.
