Weld Repair Technician

Troubleshoot and Repair

• Repair non-automated and robotic welders including but not limited to Lincoln Electric and Miller Electric.
• Perform teardown, evaluation, cleaning, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing of welders.
• Maintain evaluation notes and work with group leader to establish cost to repair based on parts required and labor requirements.

Skills and Knowledge

• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical prints, as well as wiring schematics.
• Create and document test procedures.

Physical Environment

• Maintain and ensure cleanliness of weld room and bench.
• Willing to travel to both Miller Electric and Lincoln Electric training centers to become certified.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

• Communicate efficiently and effectively within all facets of the company.
• Work independently and stay on task.

Technical Skills

• Basic Computer Skills (email & Other “Office” Applications).
• Must have good organizational skills & maintain good housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Willing to become hi-lo/crane certified.
