About the role

The Welcome Center Representative is a customer-service-focused role within the YMCA Membership Sales & Service Team. Under the supervision of the Director of Membership Sales & Service, you will manage member check-in, enforce safety protocols, conduct membership and program sales, handle telephone calls, regulate lobby traffic, and provide information about YMCA memberships and programs. You will also ensure adherence to all YMCA policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Present a welcoming and friendly demeanor when greeting and serving members and program participants.
  • Arrive on time, ready to work at the scheduled start of your shift, dressed in uniform with YMCA name tag.
  • Enforce YMCA safety and membership policies at all times.
  • Work independently and problem-solve to serve YMCA members.
  • Be available to substitute for shifts where there is no coverage, including opening, closing, and weekend shifts.
  • Conduct prospective member tours as needed.
  • Handle member and non-member phone calls according to YMCA policies.
  • Be knowledgeable about YMCA policies and procedures and communicate them effectively to members and staff.
  • Perform cash-handling duties, including balancing daily transactions and securing deposits.
  • Maintain an orderly and neat workspace during and after your shift.
  • Respond to emergencies, assemble emergency equipment, and assist in care as needed.
  • Attend all staff meetings and work collaboratively as a team player.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Pay

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour.
