Responsibilities
- Develop positive relationships and promote teamwork and morale with all employees.
- Practice safe work methods and encourage safety in daily operation.
- Perform job responsibilities in a NON-temperature controlled, loud and dusty environment.
- Reach, step, bend and maneuver to complete inspections inside of trailers and on the dock.
- Able to climb in and out of a trailer from ground level.
- Have the ability to walk & stand for long periods of time.
- Carry and/or pickup freight to perform inspection process.
- Process and review W&R reports to learn which accounts have opportunity for revenue recovery.
- Regular data entry and auditing required in daily duties.
- Conduct inspections of shipments (document actual commodity, take pictures, document dimensions).
- Cross reference Bill Of Lading to insure accurate information is designated by shipper.
- Enter correct data into the AS400 system so accurate class, weight and dimensions are documented for revenue recovery.
- Upload pictures onto computer and/or flash drive for future reference.
- Utilize all current NMFC provisions including Rules & packaging.
- Perform other duties as required/requested.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Able to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to make decisions in a fast paced work environment.
- Knowledge of the LTL industry, and/or W&R, is preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership, communication and administrative skills.
- Able to work ALL shifts / ALL hours.
