Weight Lab Technician

Mettler-Toledo's New Jersey unit, Troemner, is located about 15 miles from Philadelphia in Thorofare, NJ. Acquired by Mettler-Toledo in 2016, Troemner has a legacy dating back to 1840. Weights are manufactured in a state-of-the-art facility using the finest materials and equipment, providing unmatched measurements and metrological analysis. In addition to weights and calibration services, Troemner manufactures a full line of laboratory equipment including shakers, hotplates, and vortex mixers.

Responsibilities

• Test, calibrate, and repair all classes, types, and sizes of weights for conformance to established standards using complex methods with exacting tolerances.
• Working from production orders, verbal instructions, and written procedures to inspect, clean, adjust, and calibrate weights to specific class specifications.
• Using precision balances and weight standards to bring individual weights and sets within allowable tolerances.
• Cleaning, polishing, grinding, filling, or adding materials to adjust weights and sets for calibration.
• Using hand tools and computer programs to arrive at readings for weights and sets.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years related experience with weight calibration.
• Experience with SAP CRM is helpful.
• Knowledge of metrology is a huge plus.
• Ability to work M-F 7am-3:30pm in Thorofare, NJ.
