Weighmaster - 3111

Pikes Creek Quarry of the H&K Group, Inc., is looking for a Weighmaster to tally quarry products by and from workers for production control purposes and to dispatch materials on a day-to-day basis. The ideal candidate is flexible, detail-oriented, with strong business acumen, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies.
• Weighs trucks loaded with crushed stone and/or asphalt products and issues weigh slips to drivers.
• Keeps track of material totals to different jobs.
• Computes and records totals of tallied figures.
• Examines and sorts items tallied.
• Moves tallied items to storage, shipping, or production areas.
• Takes orders from contractors and private customers for crushed stone.
• Dispatches trucks to job sites.
• Communicates with material suppliers, laborers, operators, and supervisors with job concerns.
• Provides excellent customer service with a positive attitude to both internal and external customers.
• Keeps track of traffic and weather conditions affecting schedules.
• Monitors petty cash.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR a month of related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education & experience may be considered.
• State Weigh Master's license.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Able to travel to regional quarries.
• Able to work a flexible work schedule.
• Attention to detail.
