Pay

Pay rate starts at $19.00 per hour with the following premiums:

• Attendance Premium: $0.25
• Shift Premiums: $0.50 for swing shift and $1.00 for night shift
• Longevity premium: $0.25 after one year of service

Responsibilities

• Pick packages from moving conveyor belts at designated line speeds and place neatly and accurately into pre-formed boxes
• Demonstrate manual dexterity to pack and simultaneously activate foot pedal to release fully packed box
• Operate gas flush machine as volume dictates
• Lift, push, and/or pull 60 pounds or more repeatedly
• Able to stand for long periods of time and work in cold conditions
• Maintain excellent eye-hand coordination
• Maintain and improve quality and food safety to ensure compliance with company quality standards and USDA regulatory requirements
• Remove packages from baskets and place them on infeed belts to pre-price scales
• Stack empty baskets and dividers; keep work areas clean and orderly
• Move wheeled racks 7 baskets high weighing between 200 – 400 pounds
• Lift, push, and/or pull up to 80 pounds repeatedly
• Work in cold conditions using provided freezer gear
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervision and Lead personnel

Requirements

• Report regularly and on time to work as well as work all required hours, including overtime and weekends as scheduled
• Understand and follow established rules and procedures as well as accept constructive feedback
• Work safely and set an example of good working safe habits
• Follow established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all Food Safety procedures
• Walk and stand on concrete floor, grating, or metal stand in a cold environment for prolonged periods
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
