About the Role
Vortex Global, a Velocity Flow Technologies manufacturing brand, is seeking a Laser Operator and a Press Brake Operator for their Weekend Shift team. These roles involve operating numerically controlled machines to fabricate parts, performing product prepping and finishing tasks, conducting quality checks, optimizing production efficiency, collaborating with other departments, and complying with internal policies and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Performing assigned product prepping and finishing tasks
Prepping and adding finishing touches to the appearance of product components
Conducting quality checks and ensuring the finish of parts and components is of the highest standard
Optimizing production efficiency by maintaining and/or repairing equipment, tooling, and work area
Collaborating with other departments to complete production orders on time
Operating and monitoring computerized controls to ensure machines are performing tasks correctly
Reading blueprints or other instructions to ensure output goals are met
Complying with internal policies and industry regulations
Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent
Technical training and/or work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Ability to lift at least 550 lbs independently if required
Mechanical aptitude preferred
Skilled in the use of multiple hand tools
Proficiency in reading tape measures
