Weekend shift Maintenance Technician

About the role

Maintain pipe fabrication shop equipment and tools to help ensure that TEAM can operate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Operate and maintain piping and cutting equipment.
• Operate and maintain welding and fabrication equipment.
• Operate and maintain blast and metal surface preparation equipment.
• Operate and maintain overhead cranes and hoists.
• Operate and maintain blast and paint operation equipment.
• Operate and maintain small tools (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, gas powered, hand tools).
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Conduct work safely and follow all safety procedures; reject unsafe work and discuss with supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma and two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers, or employees.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as decimals, percent, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics and fractions.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Trained in proper Power Industrial Truck operation.
