Weekend Shift Machine (DoBoy) Operator

About the Role

The DoBoy Operator is a production laborer responsible for loading product, making mechanical adjustments, and performing film changeovers according to established procedures. This role requires mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanically related issues.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for safe work practices
• Accountable for the productivity of the assigned Flow Wrapper/DoBoy Packaging line
• Champion Targeted Pet Treats goals, policies, visions, and values
• Load product and perform mechanical adjustments and film changeovers
• Troubleshoot and resolve Flow Wrapper/DoBoy issues and problems methodically
• Adjust machine settings including run rate, product position, registration offset, and temperatures (upper seal, lower seal, fin wheel)
• Locate and install the correct film from the Packing Material Staging Area as per diagram
• Understand and communicate the importance of the pet/pet parent relationship
• Act as a brand and company evangelist
• Engage in open, forthright communication that stimulates debate and new ideas

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Live by Targeted Pet Treats Values
• Assume responsibility for self-improvement

• Punctuality and consistent attendance
• Appropriate dress and personal hygiene
• Adhere to break schedules and policies/procedures
• Verbal and math skills at an 8th-grade level

Physical Requirements

• Maneuver through tight spaces
• Lift 25 lbs. overhead
• Pull/maneuver pallet jack with up to 2,000-pound loads
• Carry items weighing up to 50 pounds from one place to another
• Stack 50 pounds repetitiously
• Not allergic to soy
• Ability to distinguish colors
