Weekend Shift (Fri-Sun) - Assembler/Packer

About the role

Perform a wider variety of repetitive assembly of the company’s products into complete packages and/or sub-assemblies per engineering drawings and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Final inspection of product prior to shipment to customer
• Generate and place labels on packages
• Operate small production equipment
• Install and fit assembly units
• Rotate throughout different functional stations of assembly processes
• Meet safety, quality, and productivity expectations
• Select, inspect, assemble, and package product for final shipment to customer
• Inspect and maintain workplace for compliance with safety requirements
• Correct any safety issues prior to performing operations
• Requisition packaging material from warehouse, when necessary
• Inspect material for shipping damage and/or supplier defects
• Inspect product per finished goods inspection procedure
• Inform Team Leader of any components that need to be reworked or scrapped
• Certify that each product has completed Quality Assurance processes via Quality stamp
• Work from blueprints, engineering specifications, and production schedules

Qualifications

• High school, GED, or equivalent education
• Minimum of 3 years working in a Manufacturing/Industrial or related environment
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering specifications
• Capable of using measuring devices to perform product inspection
• Available and willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as production demand dictates
