Role Overview: The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care in critical settings, including ventilator management, medication administration, and patient assessment. They deliver patient-centered care, education, and support to patients, families, and staff, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Key Responsibilities: Perform patient assessments and collaborate with healthcare teams to plan care.Administer aerosolized medications, manage ventilators, perform airway procedures, and analyze arterial blood gases.Educate patients, mentor new employees, and support staff development.Ensure accurate documentation, promote patient safety, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.Assist in invasive/non-invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostics as needed. Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program with science coursework.Registered Respiratory Therapist certification and necessary licenses.Minimum 0-2 years clinical experience with critical care exposure.Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills.Ability to establish professional relationships with healthcare providers.
