Troubleshooting and Inspection
- Troubleshoot areas of the assembly process where quality issues occur.
- Inspect, test, and measure materials and products for conformance to specifications.
- Analyze and interpret prints, manuals, and data to determine specifications.
- Record and analyze data; maintain accurate documentation and reports.
- Document and communicate non-conforming material rejections to Supervisors and Purchasing/Materials teams.
Mentoring and Support
- Mentor Production Associates and Quality Auditors on quality standards and best practices.
- Assist in assigning tasks to Quality Auditors as needed.
Inspection and Monitoring
- Conduct inspections on first articles, incoming materials, and other parts as requested.
- Observe and monitor production operations, jigs, and equipment to ensure compliance with specifications.
Problem Solving and Communication
- Investigate quality concerns to determine root cause and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform product repairs when necessary.
Qualifications and Skills
- Associate’s degree and/or equivalent experience/training are required.
- Proficient in the use of measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, tape measures, pin gages, feeler gages, measurement probe, and optical comparator.
- Excellent shop math skills (ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals).
- Demonstrated problem solving ability, strong communication skills, and the ability to multi-task and work efficiently/in a well-organized manner are required.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Familiarity with computer programs, such as the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and internal production software.
Pay and Schedule
Starting at $27.00/hr, based on experience + $3 shift differential.
