Weekend PRN RN Hospice

About the Role

Join Elite Hospice of Springdale, a part of LHC Group and the Optum family of businesses, as an Afterhours Registered Nurse. Your primary focus will be to conduct comprehensive and timely delivery of hospice care for patients and their families after regular business hours, including nights and weekends. Responsibilities

• Triage patient needs over the phone until an in-person visit can be provided by a nurse.
• Respond appropriately and with urgency to crisis calls from patients and families after hours.
• Make the initial nursing evaluation to determine eligibility for hospice services within forty-eight (48) hours of referral if assigned.
• Perform afterhours visits including admission visits, death visits, recertification visits, and routine visits.
• Identify the patient/family's physical, psychosocial, emotional, and environmental needs and reassess them at least every fifteen (15) days.
• Document problems, appropriate goals, interventions, and patient/family response to hospice care.

Requirements

• Current unrestricted RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Current driver's license, valid vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• 1+ years of clinical experience.

Pay

The hourly pay for this role will range from $37.40 to $56.10 per hour based on full-time employment, depending on several factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
