About the role
Provide specialized nursing care to adults in a 24-hour crisis stabilization program that serves as a medically necessary, voluntary, and less restrictive alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. Our CCS program features a newly renovated 10 bed unit where individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis receive short-term stabilization and support. Typical stays range from 3 to 5 days but are flexible based on each individual's needs.
Schedule
- Part-Time | 16 Hours per Week
- Saturday & Sunday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Shift differentials
- 7a – 11p (Sat & Sun only) = Base + $1.00
- 11p – 7a (ANY day of the week) = Base + $2.00
- 3-11pm (Monday through Friday) = Base + $1.00
Responsibilities
- Monitor and document clients' self administration of medications while ensuring safe medication practices.
- Monitor clients' physical health needs and coordinate acute medical care with direct care staff as needed.
- Facilitate health and wellness groups and activities that promote recovery and overall well-being.
- Deliver strength based, solution focused nursing interventions and support individuals in developing Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP) and safety plans.
- Complete assigned clinical documentation and participate in required trainings to support high quality care.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (Diploma/Associates/or Bachelor's degree)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) must be licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound clinical judgment, and provide compassionate, high-quality care
Preferred experience
- One year of experience in an acute mental health and/or co-occurring disorders setting
- Familiarity with recovery oriented treatment approaches for individuals with severe mental illness
Pay
Salary range $31.25 - $36.06 USD (based on a full-time, 40 hours per week position; compensation based on candidate experience, qualifications, and certifications and licenses).
