About the role

As the Weekend Special LPN, you will perform the functions of a Licensed Practical Nurse in providing patient care to patients in the hospital, for ages 18 through geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and document patient-centered care by performing hands-on nursing tasks, administering medications, collecting assessments, and educating patients and families in alignment with hospital policies and the Patient's Bill of Rights
• Collaborate and improve care quality through coordination with the DON, therapists, and nursing staff on departmental changes, performance improvement initiatives, and timely reporting of patient condition changes
• Demonstrate clinical competency in central line management, ventilator settings, and cardiac monitoring
• Supervise patient meal accuracy and portion sizes, ensuring timely corrections in coordination with the Registered Dietician
• Promote independence and goal achievement through education and preparation for decision-making
• Provide direct care and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage and monitor wound and ostomy patients, while leading staff education and quality improvement efforts
• Ensure complete and accurate clinical documentation through collaboration with medical staff, coding teams, and performance analysis

Requirements

• Current and unrestricted license as a LPN in the state in which they practice
• Current ACLS certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
• ICU experience
• CCRN/PCCN certification

Pay

The hourly pay for this role will range from $21.70 to $32.55 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
