Weekend CNA - Part-Time

About the role

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide home care services on weekends, assisting patients in their residences.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene care, such as bathing, shaving, hair, and mouth care.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation to ensure patient safety.
• Administer basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision.
• Prepare meals tailored to client preferences and dietary needs.
• Offer companionship and engage in activities suited to individual interests.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks and maintain accurate records.
• Monitor and report changes in the patient's condition, ensuring confidentiality, and following the Plan of Care.
• Use equipment like blood pressure cuffs and stethoscopes as needed.

Qualifications

• Current DFS certification.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing.
• Sympathetic attitude toward patient care.

This role requires dependability, adaptability, and the ability to work within diverse family environments, with travel within a designated area. The position does not guarantee specific hours or assignment length.
