Responsibilities
- Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
- Take and record patient vital signs, and use proper body mechanics for lifting, moving, and transporting residents.
- Recognize and report changes in resident conditions to nurse management, asking appropriate questions to clarify situations.
- Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
- Report abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
- Assist the nurse with various duties as directed.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience as a CNA in a Long Term Care setting is highly preferred.
- Must possess and maintain a current state certification as a CNA.
