Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

About the role

In this role, you will promote the dignity, independence, self-determination, privacy, choice, and rights of residents at the community. You will assist residents with activities of daily living, medication reminders, and social and spiritual pursuits, while monitoring their physical and cognitive wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and medication reminders in accordance with care plans and established community policies and procedures.
• Assist residents with lifting, turning, transferring, positioning, and transporting into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
• Assist with dining room services at assigned mealtimes, including set-up, clean-up, meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and documentation of meal intake.
• Monitor residents’ physical and cognitive wellbeing and report changes to the nurse and supervisor.
• Deliver nutritional supplements to residents at assigned times and provide assistance as needed to ensure intake; document intake per community policy/procedure.
• Participate in life enrichment programming and provide meaningful activities to residents.
• Document resident care timely and accurately.
• Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Certified Nursing Certification may be required depending on state regulations.
• 1+ years of paid or volunteer experience working with seniors preferred.

Skills

• Ability to demonstrate patience and compassion in working with the elderly.

Pay

USD $21.00 – $25.00 per hour.
