About This Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Specialty Software Engineer in technology as part of Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology. This candidate will design and lead low-latency Micro UIs within the Spread Technology team in Fixed Income. The role focuses on designing and implementing low-latency eTrading, pricing, and risk management solutions for Fixed Income asset classes including Structured Products, Credit, and Municipal Bonds, while building real-time micro UIs using JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, AgGrid, and related technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex initiatives on selected domains
- Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk
- Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost
- Lead, design, develop, test, and implement applications and system components, tools, utilities, models, simulations, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies
- Resolve coding, testing, and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature
- Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
- Mentor less experienced software engineers
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
- Lead team to achieve objectives
- Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively
- Design, code, test, debug, and document applications
- Conduct research to resolve complex technical issues
- Recommend process improvements
- Provide technical consultation and support
- Assist with advanced software development activities
- Partner with peers, managers, and cross-functional teams to achieve business and technology objectives
Requirements
- 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of experience developing and supporting front-office trading applications
- 5+ years of experience with HTML5, JavaScript, CSS
- 5+ years of experience with TypeScript
- 5+ years of experience with Angular/React
- 5+ years of experience with JSON, REST, XML
- 5+ years of experience building real-time UIs using web sockets
- 2+ years of experience using headless web containers such as OpenFin/Glue42/FinSemble
Qualifications
- Experience with Web Servers (like Apache Tomcat, IIS, nginx)
- Experience with Test Automation using tools such as Selenium and excellent grasp of Performance/Stress Testing web UIs using Chrome DevTools
- Knowledge of Capital Markets Fixed Income domain
- Basic understanding of Bond Pricing, Bond Risk, Bond PnL, and Position Management
- Basic understanding of Trade lifecycle, Position Management, and End of Day Marking

$159,000.00 - $254,000.00
