Web-to-Print® Rewind Operator- Flexible Packaging (1st Shift) - Plant 2
About the role
Belmark is seeking a Web-to-Print® Rewind Operator to be responsible for rewind labels from press rolls to smaller rolls according to customer specifications. Inspect labels for accepted quality and complete the appropriate paperwork. May also be required to bundle labels or tags, or fanfold labels.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety procedures as required by the role, and adhere to Safe Quality Foods requirements.
- Set up rewind machine.
- Calculate the number of labels needed per roll or bundle.
- Rewind labels according to the job instructions.
- Inspect for and remove defective labels.
- Identify product with accurate information.
- Complete necessary paperwork including packing slips.
- Keep work area and machine clean and organized.
- May bundle labels or tags.
- May fanfold labels.
- May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- Education: Equivalent to two (2) years of high school education.
- Language: Knowledge of and ability to effectively utilize the English language.
- Machine Operation: Ability to set up and operate a rewind machine using a ruler, calculator, Allen wrench and screw driver.
- Mathematics: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.
- Instructions: Read, comprehend and follow simple written and oral instructions.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to meet deadlines and concentrate on details.
- Physical Abilities: See clearly at 20 inches or less, identify and distinguish colors, observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point; stand for 75% of work time, stoop, kneel or crouch for 20% of work time, walk for 5% of work time; use hands for 100% of work time, use feet to operate machines for 50% of work time; lift: 10 pounds or less 60% of work time, 25 pounds or less 25% of work rime, 50 pounds or less 15% of work time, may be asked to lift up to 70 pounds or more.

Pay
$21 - $23 per Hour. The hourly rate for this position is determined by the level of the role, relevant experience, and may incorporate shift differentials, ensuring fair compensation that reflects both expertise and responsibilities entailed.

1st shift hours are from 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Monday - Friday
