Web-to-Print® Lead Finishing Operator - Flexible Packaging (2nd Shift) - Plant 2

About the role

Belmark is seeking a Web-to-Print® Lead Finishing Operator to support productivity goals in the finishing department. You will be responsible for following safety procedures, nurturing a food safety culture, performing finishing equipment maintenance and repairs, assisting with difficult jobs, training and developing laminator/coater operators, managing consumable supplies, and providing leadership.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and adhere to Safe Quality Foods requirements.
• Perform principle duties and responsibilities listed on Web-to-Print® Finishing Operator job description.
• Model Belmark’s principles and standards of behavior to employees.
• Lead by example in terms of throughput, quality, waste, standards, and maintenance.
• Train and develop laminator/coater operators.
• Ensure laminator/coater operators are trained and comply with SOPs, testing protocols, calibration procedures, and safety standards.
• Fill in or relieve finishing operators during vacations, breaks, and absences.
• Provide leadership during Supervisor/Manager vacations, sickness, or travel.
• Prepare job components in advance according to daily schedule.
• Work with Shift Managers/Supervisors on scheduling feedback with Sales and Account Services.
• Review daily and monthly feedback reports and provide input toward sustained improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to effectively communicate in writing, speaking, and reading the English language.
• Web-to-Print® production experience or production knowledge acquired in a similar size operation.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, decimals, and fractions.
• Ability to give, receive, and analyze information.
• Computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Ability to meet or exceed deadlines.
• Regular attendance and ability to concentrate and pay attention to detail.
• Physical abilities to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach above shoulders, use hands, use feet, lift, and use sense of smell.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain laminator and coater level operation, shared maintenance, and Tier 3 certification(s) where applicable.
• May assist in other areas of production including Graphics, Press, and Rewind.

Pay

$24 - $26 per Hour. The shift differential for 2nd shift is $1.00 more per hour.

Schedule

2nd shift hours are from 2:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. (midnight), Monday - Thursday.
