Belmark creates labels, cartons, pressure-sensitive and flexible film for consumer products. This role operates and maintains equipment in the Finishing Department, including Digicon Finishing Platforms, Coupon Folding Equipment, and the Omega Coupon Inserter. Overtime and flexible hours are required.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety procedures and nurture a food-safety culture by adhering to Safe Quality Foods requirements.
- Maintain quality, productivity, and waste according to established standards.
- Perform job tasks using required personal protective equipment and correct safety procedures.
- Web, clean, and perform routine maintenance on finishing units.
- Complete necessary job paperwork and utilize computer-based hardware and software.
- Keep work area and machines organized and clean.
- Meet the 48-hour stated turnaround objective.
- Cross-train in other areas of Web-to-Print® as needed.
- Perform duties related to the Hazardous Waste Management Program, including proper disposal of spent solvents, waste inks, and other designated waste products (e.g., placing waste in designated drums, labeling drums, and moving drums to storage).
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in English and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with whole numbers, decimals, and fractions.
- Ability to give, receive, and analyze information.
- Proficiency in navigating and operating a computer.
- Physical ability to:
- Stand and walk for 80% of work time; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for 20% of work time.
- See clearly at close (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances, distinguish colors, judge spatial relationships, and adjust focus.
- Use hands for 100% of work time; reach above shoulders for 50% of work time; operate machines with feet for 30% of work time.
- Lift up to 10 pounds (25% of work time), 25 pounds (30% of work time), 50 pounds (25% of work time), and occasionally up to 100 pounds (5% of work time).
- Use sense of smell as required.
Schedule
- 3rd shift: 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m., Sunday (12:00 a.m. – 6:00 a.m.), Monday – Thursday.
- Overtime required after 36 hours.
Pay
$23 – $25 per hour, plus a $2.00 per hour shift differential for 3rd shift. Rate determined by role level, relevant experience, and shift.
