Web Solutions Engineer III, YouTube

About the role

As a Web Solutions Engineer on the YouTube Business Technology team, you will manage solutions that enhance the efficiency of the broader YouTube organization. Your work will directly impact support communities, increasing user loyalty.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and improve full-stack web applications using standard and Google-specific tools.
• Analyze problems and develop solutions, addressing dependencies and resolving issues to facilitate implementation.
• Contribute technically through writing and reviewing design documents, tests, and code (e.g., JavaScript, Python, TypeScript, SQL).
• Provide subject-matter expertise and leverage comprehensive knowledge of Google's relevant technologies, principles, practices, and coding standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional users and stakeholders to identify pain points and devise innovative technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience in software development.
• 4 years of experience in full-stack software development and system design.
• Experience with front-end languages (e.g., JavaScript or TypeScript).
• Experience with backend languages (e.g., Java, Python, or C++).
• Experience working with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).

Preferred qualifications

• 6 years of experience in full-stack software development and system design.
• Experience with frontend languages (e TypeScript).
• Experience with backend languages (e.g., Java, Python, or C++).
• Experience working with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).

Pay

$128,000 - $184,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
