About The Role
The Web and Graphics Developer at STOPSO plays a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining the organization’s digital ecosystem. This position is primarily remote, offering 90% flexibility to work from anywhere, with an occasional requirement to be on-site in Charlottesville, VA, approximately 10% of the time.
Qualifications
- Experience managing content, configuring modules, and implementing UI layouts within enterprise CMS environments (DNN/DotNetNuke experience highly preferred)
- 3+ years of professional experience in digital design and front-end development, with a proven ability to collaborate with backend engineering teams
- Strong portfolio demonstrating modern UI/UX design, user journey mapping, and mobile-first responsive design principles
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for building responsive, interactive web content
- High proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Photoshop and Illustrator
- Experience with UI/UX prototyping tools like Figma or Adobe XD
- Bachelor’s degree in web design, graphic design, communications, or related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered
Responsibilities
- Design and develop responsive web pages, custom templates, and digital assets using modern frontend frameworks and design tools, ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards
- Create high-fidelity graphics, UI layouts, and multimedia assets to support instructional design, training, and communication campaigns
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and the site manager to translate complex requirements into intuitive user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes
- Debug, optimize, and maintain web properties to ensure cross-browser compatibility, fast load times, and high-quality user experiences
- Lead front-end customization within CMS (DNN) and LMS (Moodle), integrating dynamic content and APIs as needed
- Act as the brand guardian across digital touchpoints, maintaining consistent visual identity, typography, and imagery standards
- Monitor and analyze web traffic and user behavior using tools like Google Analytics, providing insights for ongoing improvements
- Manage the publishing pipeline for multiple podcast shows, including uploading audio files, configuring metadata, creating episode artwork, and integrating media players across platforms
