Web Developer (Graphic Designer)

Overview

Advanced Technologies is seeking a full-time Web Developer / Graphic Designer / Document Accessibility Specialist to support and maintain the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) website.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and maintenance services for existing ALSDE website.
• Develop and create the look, layout, and features of the ALSDE website as defined by ALSDE.
• Perform the following:
• Develop new website features and functionality.
• Remediate PDF documents, Word files, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations to meet WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA and PDF/UA standards.
• Perform any other closely related professional services typically associated with website development, maintenance, and support, including but not limited to activities such as writing and editing content, document remediation, solving code problems, training, preparation of documentation, and other problem-solving tasks.
• Design webpage layout.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field with two (2) to three (3) years of professional design experience.
• Portfolio of strong creative work.
• Experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
