WEB DEVELOPER

About the role

We’re looking for a passionate web developer who enjoys challenges and is eager to work on projects that bring websites and experiences to life. This position is back-end focused, involving server-side logic, enterprise eCommerce websites, and applications built on a proprietary platform.

You will develop scripts to connect with third parties for inventory collection or other necessary services, optimize and enhance our current website foundation, and collaborate with team members to maintain organized and efficient code.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise eCommerce websites and applications on a proprietary platform.
• Create backend scripts to integrate with third-party services for inventory collection and other functionalities.
• Optimize, enhance, and build upon the existing website foundation.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure organized and efficient code.
• Implement web and server security best practices.
• Utilize server communication methods such as FTP, RESTful API, and SOAP.
• Work with Git for version control in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of coding experience in at least 3 different programming languages.
• 3+ years of SQL database experience.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or AWS certification.
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively.
• Willingness to continue learning and expanding knowledge of industry standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma.
• Web Development Certification, Associate’s Degree in Web Development or Computer Science, or 3+ years of relevant work experience.

Skills

• Web/server security methods and best practices.
• Server communication methods (FTP, RESTful API, SOAP).
• Git for version control.
