About The Role NuAxis Innovations is seeking a talented and motivated Web Developer II for a full-time position. In this role, you will develop, maintain, and enhance secure, accessible, and user-centered web applications. Your work will support Internet, Intranet, Wiki, and social media platforms, with a strong emphasis on Drupal content management systems. You will contribute across front-end and back-end development, from planning and implementation through testing and ongoing improvement. You will help ensure that digital services meet federal web standards and accessibility requirements while delivering a clear, reliable experience for users. The role calls for a detail-oriented developer who can balance technical quality, usability, security, and performance. You will collaborate with application developers and other team members to integrate web applications and services, manage competing priorities, and keep platform content and functionality current. Qualifications An associate degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. Acquia Drupal certifications are encouraged but are not required. Candidates should have at least three years of professional experience in web design and development, including hands-on experience developing and maintaining web applications with Drupal, HTML5, CSS2/3, JavaScript, PHP, Python, and jQuery. Working knowledge of modern development and deployment tools is expected, including Node.js, Git, Chrome developer tools, and Jenkins or comparable CI/CD tools. Familiarity with SEO and web marketing best practices, backend frameworks, and application integration is valuable. Experience with federal web standards is preferred. You should bring strong attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication skills, and a commitment to accessible, usable digital experiences. The ability to collaborate, manage multiple priorities, and stay current with evolving web technologies and industry practices is important. Responsibilities Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain front-end and back-end web applications. Plan and manage content and functionality across Internet, Intranet, Wiki, and social media platforms. Implement, migrate, integrate, and support content management systems, particularly Drupal, and deliver content updates, enhancements, and ongoing site improvements. Help ensure applications are secure, scalable, and performant. Apply usability principles to site architecture, navigation, knowledge management, and information delivery. Collaborate with application developers to integrate web applications and services. Use graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and GIMP to support visual and user interface needs. Test and validate web experiences for compliance with WCAG, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Apply internet security principles and protocols, and ensure copyrighted materials are used appropriately under U.S. copyright laws.
