About the role
Responsible for overseeing the Children’s of Alabama external website. Implements a customer-based, user-centered approach while using software to coordinate layout and graphical components of sites. The Web Developer ensures the external website is consistently maintained, technically sound, and content is accurate to support patients and community experience externally.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day upkeep, accuracy, and functionality of the public-facing website childrensal.org
- Manage multiple update requests and competing priorities across departments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, web design, communications, or a related field
- 3 or more years of experience in web content management, digital communications, or a related field
- Proficiency with a CMS platform; healthcare or hospital CMS experience a plus
- Basic HTML/CSS proficiency for CMS-level edits
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to catch errors in content, links, and formatting
- Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA)
- Experience with web analytics tools a plus
