Full Stack Developer

About the role

At BuildWithin, we're rebuilding how the workforce system works from the ground up. As a Full-Stack Engineer, you'll design and build production-grade features across the entire stack—from intuitive UIs to scalable backend services—and play a hands-on role in shaping the platform that connects people to opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end: take features from design to production—building responsive, accessible UIs in Next.js and React, integrating with secure backend APIs, and ensuring what you ship performs reliably at scale.
• Build and maintain scalable systems: architect, code, test, and deploy high-performance systems in a distributed, cloud-based environment. Work with relational and NoSQL databases, implement authentication and authorization flows, and optimize performance through SSR and SSG.
• Drive continuous improvement: refine user-facing features, improve code quality through automated testing and CI/CD, and contribute to a codebase that's built to last—not just to ship.
• Partner cross-functionally: collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineers to deliver features that solve real user problems—across domains like onboarding, training, workforce matching, and analytics.
• Contribute to engineering culture: write clear documentation, share knowledge generously, and help raise the bar for how we build—together.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Next.js and a strong foundation in React and TypeScript.
• Real experience building and deploying scalable applications on AWS with PostgreSQL.
• Comfort with the full stack—RESTful APIs, state management, styling frameworks like Tailwind, and cloud deployment.
• Solid grasp of software engineering principles: data structures, algorithms, testing, and system architecture.
• Strong sense of ownership and enjoyment in driving projects from inception to production.
• Energized by ambiguity and early-stage problem-solving—you figure things out.

LangGraph experience and strong documentation/testing habits are a plus.
