Web Content Systems Specialist

About the role

Serves as a Web Content Systems Specialist for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) supporting the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR), performing specialized professional work in Web Application Development Services. Acts as a support resource for systems or subsystems of average complexity and prepares general design, detail design, and program specifications task documentation.

Responsibilities

• Supports scheduled and remedial maintenance for assigned websites and web applications.
• Assists in the integration and configuration of web-based solutions by applying foundational scripting skills and collaborating with technical teams to ensure reliable, standards-compliant applications.
• Stays current with new developments in the information technology field through continuing education, online training platforms, meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned that are reasonably within the scope of the enumerated responsibilities.

Requirements

• Knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college with coursework in computer science or a directly related field.
• One (1) year of professional experience in Application Services or a related Information Technology field.
