About the role

The Web Content Strategy Writer is responsible for writing, editing, and optimizing a variety of content for Loma Linda University Health internal and external websites and other digital products. This role requires strategic editorial thinking and producing a high volume of web marketing content on deadline for healthcare and academic clients across the organization. Responsibilities include translating complex information and concepts into informative, easily understandable consumer-facing content and finding creative ways to engage audiences. The role involves interpreting and incorporating reviewer feedback to efficiently produce copy within established processes, meeting deliverables such as content plans and copy for evergreen web pages, online promotional campaigns, web apps, user interfaces, and more.

Works with generative AI tools and content to support user experiences while ensuring brand alignment and maintaining quality standards. Supports the development and execution of content strategy and guidelines, champions user interests, and shapes the organization's voice online with the guidance of the Web Content Strategy Manager. Assists with multiple projects, collaborates with project teams, and skillfully works to meet the needs of a large organization.

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and optimize web content for internal and external websites and digital products.
  • Translate complex information into easily understandable consumer-facing content.
  • Engage audiences through creative storytelling techniques in multiple formats.
  • Incorporate reviewer feedback to produce high-quality copy efficiently.
  • Develop content plans and copy for evergreen web pages, online promotional campaigns, web apps, and user interfaces.
  • Use generative AI tools to support user experiences while maintaining brand alignment and quality standards.
  • Support the development and execution of content strategy and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with project teams to meet organizational needs.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, UX, Business, or related field required. Minimum five years of experience in web content development required. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Solid understanding of healthcare and academic marketing communications.
  • Strong writing skills related to search engine and generative engine optimization.
  • Understanding of conversion rate optimization, UX, information architecture, and best practices for mobile.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English with professional quality.
  • Proficiency with computer, printer, and software programs necessary for the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, generative-AI tools).
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot basic office equipment.
  • Ability to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly under pressure; collaborate and accept direction.
  • Strong critical thinking, multitasking, organization, and prioritization skills; ability to work well under pressure and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to distinguish colors, hear sufficiently for general conversation, and see adequately to read computer screens and written documents.
