Web/Content Development, Marketing and Sales - Content Coordinator 5
About the role
The Consumer Web team is responsible for managing web content production, content authoring, publishing, quality assurance, and website updates across Microsoft’s digital properties. We support major product launches, sprint releases, marketing campaigns, and website enhancements through Contentful and other content management platforms.
Responsibilities
- Build, author, edit, and publish web pages in Contentful CMS using approved templates, components, and assets.
- Assemble pages utilizing reusable content modules and design-system components.
- Implement copy updates, upload and map assets, and create market-specific and Rest-of-World (ROW) page variations.
- Manage content publication activities to support product launches, campaign releases, and ongoing site updates.
- Own pre-publication QA activities, including:
- Content accuracy reviews
- Link validation
- Asset verification
- Cross-browser and responsive rendering checks
- Accessibility and template compliance reviews
- Resolve defects and incorporate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) feedback before publishing.
- Maintain high publishing accuracy with minimal post-launch issues.
- Support localization workflows, including:
- Localization file creation
- Localization handoff and handback processes
- Multi-market content publishing and validation
- Cook up global page readiness and localized content updates.
- Incorporate copy-level SEO recommendations into authored content.
- Ensure content aligns with established SEO, accessibility, and brand guidelines.
- Maintain consistent implementation of metadata and content publishing best practices.

- Provide launch support and participate in release planning and sprint execution.
- Identify opportunities to improve authoring workflows, scalability, and publishing efficiency.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience with Contentful or a comparable headless CMS platform.
- 10+ years of experience building web pages using component-based templates and design systems.
- 10+ years of experience performing web content QA, validation, and publishing activities.
- Strong understanding of content authoring workflows and modern CMS architectures.
- Experience managing content from initial build through publication with minimal oversight.
- Familiarity with localization processes and multi-market content delivery.
- Working knowledge of on-page SEO best practices.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and digital publishing requirements.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent launches.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Direct experience with Contentful in an enterprise-scale environment.
- Experience working with Storybook or similar component libraries.
- Experience within a marketing, digital production, or agency environment.
- Familiarity with content modeling concepts and a high-level understanding of APIs.
- Experience supporting large-scale product marketing launches.
- Knowledge of modern web publishing and component-driven authoring ecosystems.
