Weatherization Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct installation of residential energy efficiency upgrades.
• Record and report to program staff customers and contractor interactions to adhere to program requirements.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and issues regarding installation in accordance with client specifications.
• Act as local, on-site program and company representative to customers and contractors; to encourage participation in the program and overcome barriers.

Requirements

• A high school diploma required.
• 6 months – 1 year of utilities, HVAC, residential construction, energy knowledge or relevant experience.
• 21 years of age or older with valid driver's license.

Qualifications

This is a safety-sensitive position and may include field work (such as work in industrial/commercial locations and customer homes), warehouse work, or requires driving on behalf of the company. Individuals provided a conditional offer of employment for this position must successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and consent to the company obtaining a motor vehicle report evidencing a satisfactory driving record. Applicants for driving positions must hold a valid driver's license, and individuals provided a conditional offer of employment must successfully pass a drug test and maintain a clean driving record as an ongoing requirement for continued employment.

Skills

The successful candidate should have a basic understanding of residential home construction, a customer service mindset, and ability to work in a team setting.

Pay

Target Compensation: $24.80/hr plus benefits.

Schedule

Day to day tasks include completing installation of energy efficiency products, Performing insulation & air sealing services, Venting appliances and sealing ductwork. This position is field based in all weather conditions along with performing task in attics, basements, crawlspaces, interior and exterior structures. Techs may need to drive a fleet vehicle from company facilities to job locations.
