Wean Finish Specialist

About the role

The Wean Finish Specialist is responsible for managing the transition of piglets from the nursery to the finisher phase, ensuring optimal growth and health throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain pig health through regular check-ups and disease prevention measures.
• Manage feeding schedules and ensure proper nutrition for pigs.
• Implement biosecurity protocols to prevent the spread of diseases.
• Collaborate with other team members to optimize production efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in livestock management or similar field.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of pig genetics and breeding practices.
• Experience with automated feeding systems and record-keeping software.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina for walking and standing for extended periods.

Pay

• $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule
