Wealth Advisor- Portland/Lake Oswego
About the role
The Wealth Advisor position is the backbone of the practice at Carson Wealth. This role is integral in ensuring every aspect of the client experience exceeds expectations. The ideal candidate will establish new client relationships, provide advisory services, and support current clients at the highest level. They must be skilled in navigating hard/emotional client conversations in a solutions-focused manner and have a strong background in financial planning.
Responsibilities
- Establish new client relationships
- Provide advisory services and support to current clients
- Navigate hard/emotional client conversations in a solutions-focused manner
- Show empathy and genuine care for clients, their families, and circumstances
- Develop Crucial Conversation and Active Listening skills
- Empathize with clients' "Top of Mind" items during client meetings
- Adaptability to technology, proficient in CRM and Financial Planning software
- Teach and present Carson Wealth's Core Values and Core Focus in various settings
- Develop and present a plan for creating a COI network and/or a well-formed and active COI network
- Create/Sustain a plan for business development, engaging communities and expanding reach
- Mentor to Associate Wealth Advisors, Client Service Associates, and the rest of the team
- Adhere to compliance policies and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years investment advisory experience
- Obtained one (or more) of the following designations: CFP, CFA, EA, MBA, CPWA, CIMA, JD
- Active Series 65 license
- Clean U-4 and U-5 history
- Computer literacy and aptitude for learning new programs and processes
- Knowledge of Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Knowledge of Financial Industry programs (Salesforce, Orion, eMoney, MoneyGuide) preferred
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Excellent prioritization skills
- Excellent attitude and an extraordinary client service orientation
- A genuine interest in serving and caring for other people
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Self-motivation and a desire for growth
Qualifications
- Work a majority of their time in office

Benefits
- Base salary ranging from $60,000.00/year to $125,000.00/year
- Variable compensation potential (Bonus and/or commissions)

Pay
The base pay for this position across all US geographic markets ranges from $60,000.00/year to $125,000.00/year. Pay is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Schedule
Majority of the time in office. Some travel may be required.
