We are looking for a gardener for our Camphill community in North Yorkshire

About the role

We are looking for a gardener to join our community, practicing and developing biodynamic gardening while living and working as a member of our Camphill community.

The garden is located on 5 acres of land owned by Esk Valley Camphill community in Ainthorpe, near Botton village in the North Yorkshire Moors. The site includes a herb workshop and one of our Shared Lives houses, Homefield. The garden serves as a workshop where community members with learning disabilities work to grow food for our houses.

We are Demeter certified and practice biodynamic methods. We seek someone with experience in vegetable growing or a strong desire to explore biodynamic gardening.

Responsibilities

• Work daily in the garden, growing vegetables, herbs, and fruit
• Practice biodynamic gardening methods
• Collaborate with community members who have learning disabilities
• Contribute to the wider Camphill community
