About the role

The Women’s Foundation of Florida is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering and educating women and girls to become leaders, so they can change the world. We invest in their ideas and encourage their leadership to positively affect the economic, political and social status of women and girls across Florida.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage the delivery of high quality and inclusive programs
• Recruit and manage volunteers to serve on program committees
• Develop timelines and send reminders to assist volunteers in meeting project objectives
• Research venues, program speakers, and marketing opportunities
• Organize event logistics, manage registrations, day of event details, and follow up
• Attend community meetings to represent the Women’s Foundation and develop community partnerships
• Serve as ambassador for the Women’s Foundation in the community

Requirements

• A passion for bringing women together
• An ability to set big bold visions while also staying on top of event details
• Experience connecting program participants to one another so they feel welcomed and eager to stay engaged

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, public policy, communications)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in program management or related field
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage volunteers and community partnerships
• Experience with event planning and logistics

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

• $60,000 annually

Schedule

• Full-time staff position
• Telecommuting but requires residence in South Florida and may include travel across the state, along with night and weekend events
