WBCE Adjunct Faculty – Home Inspection

About the role

CARROLL COMMUNITY COLLEGE is seeking adjunct faculty to teach continuing education students in Home Inspection training. Instruction focuses on basic residential construction standards and processes, home inspection processes and inspection techniques, including defect recognition in structural, exterior, interior, roofing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and other areas. Courses prepare students for the Home Inspector licensing exam in Maryland. FLSA status: Exempt.

Responsibilities

• Teach Home Inspection courses in person and/or online.
• Deliver instruction on residential construction standards, inspection processes, and defect recognition across multiple systems.
• Prepare students for the Maryland Home Inspector licensing exam.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience in the Home Inspection trade.
• Industry certification required.
• Willingness to provide instruction in person or online.
• Strong communication, presentation, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to perform light to medium physical exertion (up to 10 lbs force occasionally).
• Required abilities: hearing/talking, visual acuity, mental acuity, repetitive motion (keyboarding), and mobility (stand/sit/walk
