Wax Dresser (2nd shift)

Principal Area of Responsibility

The Wax Dresser must be able to perform all operations and operate equipment in a safe and efficiently in dressing and blending of wax patterns. Production of high quantity /quality parts is required with daily production quota established, works with Work with glue, nail polishes, car wax, china marker propane torches, hot needle, hot plate, exacto knives, and dental tools.

Specific Duties

• Handle hazardous waste in accordance with the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and company policy.
• Inspect, dress, book and blend wax patterns per procedures.
• Meet the specific requirements of the efficiency standard as established by Supervision.
• Record, on a daily basis, all work performed and the correct distribution of the work time by operational codes, using manufacturing computer system.
• Gets supplies, uses waxes, lubricants as required.
• Responsible for quality by visual inspection as well as by gauging.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Observes all safety rules, practices, policies and procedures.

Physical And Mental Demands

• The ability to handle high stress associated with high activity with tight deadlines.
• Must pass Jaeger vision test.
• Good vision, hand-eye coordination (inserting small pins into wax pattern).
