Responsibilities
- Writing, shooting, and editing for sports reports in newscasts
- Working with photographers and sports reporters in the newsroom and in the field
- Experiencing other departments and aspects of a TV station
Requirements
- Completed journalism and TV Production courses
- Understanding of journalistic integrity
- A passion for the news and sports news fields
- Working knowledge of video editing using software like AVID/Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suites preferred
- Familiarity with sports and newswriting software is a plus
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a college degree-granting program
- Show proof of enrollment in an internship course within that program
- Willingness to learn the inner workings of a local newsroom and how all departments in a TV station work to support each other
Benefits
- UNPAID / FOR-CREDIT position for the Fall semester 2026 only
- 12-15 hours per week on site
- Varying schedule Sunday through Saturday required
