Job Summary

WAVY-TV 10/WVBT FOX43 seeks a dynamic DIGITAL INTERN to contribute to web content creation, multimedia storytelling, and website management. This is an unpaid, for-credit position during the Fall 2026 semester.

Responsibilities

• Write for the web and produce multimedia stories about Hampton Roads
• Aid in operating a dynamic website with regular updates and emerging content
• Create Facebook posts, Tweets, and promote coverage
• Coordinate with the streaming channel production team
• Learn the inner workings of a local newsroom and understand departmental collaboration

Requirements

• Completed journalism writing and editing courses
• Working knowledge of WordPress, CMS, and social media platforms
• Preference for videography course with Adobe Premiere skills
• Passion for telling local stories
• Enrolled in a college degree-granting program
• Show proof of enrollment in an internship course

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and adapt to a local newsroom environment
• Ability to work flexible hours, Sunday through Saturday
