Responsibilities
- Working the assignment desk
- Aiding producers with writing and prepping for newscasts
- Collaborating with editors for finalizing newscasts
- Supporting photographers and reporters in the newsroom and field (including shooting, editing, and preparing final on-air stories)
Requirements
- Completed journalism courses
- Understanding of journalistic integrity
- Passion for journalism
- Familiarity with newswriting software
- Familiarity with shooting video for news
- Working knowledge of video editing software (preferred but not required)
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a college degree-granting program
- Proof of enrollment in an internship course within the program required
Benefits
- Unpaid / For-credit position for the Fall semester 2026 only
- 12-15 hours per week on site
- Varying schedule from Sunday to Saturday required
